Arlington, VA, October 10, 2005 – MergeGlobal, Inc., named Theodore Prince as a Principal Advisor today.  Ted Prince brings 25 years of experience in the container shipping, railroad, and intermodal industries. His responsibilities have ranged across network operations, marketing, asset utilization, strategic planning and information technology. 

In addition to his consulting work with MergeGlobal, Mr. Prince is a Senior Vice President for Optimization Alternatives Limited, Inc. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, OA develops and deploys large-scale control and decision support systems that manage the day-to-day operations of major international railroads, including five of the top railroads in North America. 

Formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of “K” Line’s North American, he was responsible for the management and profitability of trades. He was also the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Rail-Bridge Corporation, “K” Line’s domestic inland subsidiary for ten years.  Previously, he was an executive with Conrail and its motor carrier subsidiary for nine years.

Mr. Prince is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, which awarded him a BS in Economics. He received his MS in Transportation from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 1990. His thesis, “Double Stack Transportation as a Means to Domestic Containerization,” served as a business plan to increase Rail-Bridge’s domestic stacktrain business by 300% in two years.
