Arlington, VA, March 9, 2007 - MergeGlobal, the financial and strategic consulting firm, is pleased to welcome Mark Rhoney as a Principal Advisor.

Mr. Rhoney is a 32-year veteran of the transportation and logistics business, with a broad base of operational, marketing, planning and transactional experience literally built from the ground up from his first job as a UPS package sorter in the mid-1970s until his retirement in 2007. During the latter part of his UPS career, Mr. Rhoney led the effort to develop a long-term service portfolio strategy for the U.S. small package business, as well as a plan to expand the profitable logistics service offerings of UPS Supply Chain Solutions.  Under his direction, UPS launched UPS Early AM, UPS Same Day, the Preferred Customer Program and the Service Parts Logistics product.  His work encompassed line operations management, industrial engineering, facilities planning, e-commerce, marketing and ultimately strategic planning.

"We are delighted to have someone of Mark's caliber join our team of Principal Advisors" said David Hoppin, Managing Director of MergeGlobal.  "Mark has truly deep knowledge of both the small package and logistics businesses.  The breadth of his experience is exceptional -from operations to planning to M&A.   Moreover, in the financial advisory world, Mark is one of the few people whose M&A experience extends to actually integrated the acquired company."

Mr. Rhoney commented that "I am pleased to formalize my relationship with MergeGlobal, and look forward to working with such an innovative and dynamic organization."

Mr. Rhoney attended The State University of New York at Buffalo with a major in Industrial Engineering and minors in Electrical Engineering and Psychology. Mr. Rhoney also received Executive Education at the Wharton School of Business.
