MergeGlobal, Inc., the financial and strategic
consulting firm, is delighted to announce today
that airline industry expert Aaron J. Gellman,
PhD, of Northwestern University, has become a
Principal Advisor to the firm. Dr. Gellman
will participate in MGI’s research team with
topics related to transportation economics and
policy, the regulation of transportation, and
the management and utilization of research and
technology.
Dr. Gellman has been a professor of management and strategy and of industrial engineering at Northwestern University since 1992. He also has served as the Director of Northwestern’s Transportation Center from 1992 to 2000. Dr. Gellman taught at the University of Pennsylvania as Adjunct Professor from 1968 until 1991. In 1972 he founded Gellman Research Associates, Inc. (now GRA, Inc.), a transportation-focused consulting firm. Dr. Gellman is the author of numerous published papers and has served on government panels and committees, as well as corporate boards. Dr. Gellman received his B.A. in Economics at the University of Virginia; MBA in Transportation at the University of Chicago; and his PhD, in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
