MergeGlobal Appoints Prof. Bruce Allen as a Principal Advisor

Arlington, VA, July 27, 2005 - MergeGlobal, the
financial and strategic consulting firm, has
appointed W. Bruce Allen, PhD as a Principal
Advisor. Dr. Allen will focus on applying
his expertise in freight demand theory, impact
of transit investments, physical distribution
management/business logistics, railroad and
motor carrier economics, and transportation
regulation.
Dr. Allen is an internationally recognized expert in transportation economics and Professor of Business and Public Policy, Regional Science, and Transportation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Allen also serves as Director of the Wharton Transportation Program.
Dr. Allen has written numerous essays featured in Transportation Journal, Logistics and Transport Review, and Review of Economics and Statistics. Dr. Allen is the past Editor in Chief of Transportation Quarterly.
Dr. Allen received his PhD in economics from Northwestern University.
