Arlington, VA, Sep. 8, 2005 – MergeGlobal will make two presentations at the upcoming Air Freight Asia conference in Shanghai on 14-16 February 2006. Air Freight Asia, the premier air freight event focused on the world’s most vibrant air freight market, attracts hundreds of industry participants every two years.

David F. Hoppin, Managing Director, will address the question: “Is China facing a shake-out in its air cargo market?” Mr. Hoppin’s presentation will consider both the demand and supply sides of the airline profit equation, with quantitative evidence drawn on MergeGlobal’s global air freight and its global airlift capacity datasets and forecasts. Mr. Hoppin also will draw on his strategy consulting relationships with major players in the China air freight market.

Damini Dave, Associate, will speak on “the quest for reliable cargo data”. Ms. Dave will discuss the fundamental challenges of building a complete and internally consistent estimate of cargo demand and supply data in an environment of incomplete and erroneous data. She will share some of MergeGlobal’s industry-leading techniques to overcome these challenges.

Air Freight Asia 2006 will be organized in close co-operation with the annual Cargoweek of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Both events will run concurrently in the Shanghai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
